Connecting to the Local Windows File System

How do we connect Digital Hive to the local File System?

Answer

As a Digital Hive administrator, connecting to the File System can be accomplished via the following steps:
  1. Launch Digital Hive and login with an admin account
  2. Click your avatar (initial on top right)

  3. Select Manage Digital Hive
  4. Click Content
  5. Click 
  6. Select 
  7. In the Give it a name section, enter a name, for example I have called it Network File Share
     
  8. In the Server information section, ensure that Filesystem location is set for Server Type and for the Base Url property, enter the path to the file system location using the file://Drive:/folder_structure syntax

  9. Press Next to select which content to add to Digital Hive. For more details on this step, https://support.digitalhive.com/portal/en/kb/articles/enable-connector-content-in-digital-hive

The File System connector is now created and you can now access File System content through Digital Hive.
