Embedded IBM Cognos Analytics Content is no Longer Visible

Question

When viewing a Hive page that contains embedded IBM Cognos Analytics content, the Cognos content is not displayed.

Answer

This can occur in environments where object names in IBM Cognos Analytics can change. By default, Digital Hive uses the object name in IBM Cognos Analytics, so if the name of the object changes, Digital Hive is no longer able to make the association for the embedded object on the Hive page, resulting in the blank Embedded Viewer.

To resolve this issue, a property on the IBM Cognos Analytics connector, within the Digital Hive Control Center, will have to be made.
  1. As a Digital Hive administrator, open the Control Center by launching the "Manage Digital Hive" option from the user avatar
  2. Go to the Content section
  3. Click on the IBM Cognos Analytics connector
  4. Open the connector settings 
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and expand the SHOW ADVANCED properties section
  6. Enable the option to 'Enable find missing content by storeID' 
  7. Press SAVE
The results of this change will cause Digital Hive to retry locating IBM Cognos Analytics content by the storeID if the object isn't located using the object name.
