Adding a Logo to a Hive Header
Question
How do I add a logo to the Hive Header?
Answer
One of the first steps in branding your Hive is to add a logo to the Hive Header.
Steps
- Launch Digital Hive
- On the top left, click and select the Hive that you want to edit
- Click and select Open Designer
- On the top right, click
- If you don't see Hive properties, then under Properties, click the hive (first icon) to get to Hive properties:
- Under Styles, select Show logo and unselect Show Title
- Under Logo, click No Image
- If you already have a folder, with your images that will be used in Digital Hive, then navigate to that folder and skip to step 11
- If you do not have a folder for your images, then click the ellipsis and select Create folder
- Give the folder a name, for example I've called it Visual Assets, and click Create Folder
- Click the new folder (in this case Visual Assets)
- You can either drag your logo from File Explorer into the new folder (Visual Assets) or click the vertical ellipsis, select Upload files and navigate to the logo you want to use
- Click the circle to select the logo that you just uploaded
- Your logo has been added! By default the logo will use the same space as the Page names.
- Depending on how you want it to look, you may want to use the full height of the Header. To do this, under Hive properties, scroll down and expand Logo Container
- Click Spacing and you will notice that by default the Margin is set to 8 and the Padding is set to 16
- To use the full Header size, set the Margin and Padding to 0
- Notice how the logo now uses the full Header height
