How to Modify the Text and Appearance of Tooltips

Question

Is it possible to modify the text of a button tooltip within Digital Hive?

Answer

Hive authors have the ability to modify both the text of a tooltip as well as the size of the tooltip text. Each widget, such as buttons, have their own custom text that can be configured. Altering the tooltip font size is done globally for all widgets within a Hive.

For example, this is what the default text looks like for a Button widget that points to the Digital Hive Customer Success Portal.

To change the tooltip text of the Button:
  1. Launch the Hive to be modified
  2. Open the Hive Designer and navigate to the desired page
  3. Click on the Button object
  4. Within the Properties panel on the right-hand side of the screen, scroll down to the Button Properties section
  5.  Enable the Show Tooltip on Hover option

  6. Provide the desired text in the Tooltip Text* section

  7. Save the change to the Hive
When viewing the button tooltip, following the changes:
