Playing Multiple Videos with a Single Video Widget

Question

Looking at the properties of the Video widget, there is a single URL field. Is there a way to display multiple videos through a single Video widget?

Answer

Displaying multiple videos is possible through the use of a YouTube playlist. Instead of adding the URL for a video, use the URL for the playlist.
  1. Open YouTube and click on Your Videos to open the channel Studio
  2. Within the channel Studio, click on the Content section
  3.  If a Playlist already exists, skip to step 14. Click on a video that will be part of a new playlist
  4. On the Video Details page, select the Playlists dropdown
  5. Click NEW PLAYLIST
  6. Add a title for the video and select the desired visibility
  7. Press Create and verify that the video was automatically added to the playlist
  8. Press Done
  9. To add another video to the playlist, click on the video thumbnail
  10. Using the Playlists dropdown, select the newly created playlist
  11. Press Done
  12. Repeat steps 9-11 for all other additional videos that need to be part of the playlist
  13. Use the back arrow to go back to Channel content
  14. Select the Playlists tab on the Channel Content page
  15.  Click either on the playlist thumbnail or the pencil (edit) icon
  16. To obtain the URL for the playlist, click on the share icon
  17. Press the Copy button
  18. Launch Digital Hive
  19. Select the desired Hive
  20. Open the Designer to enter authoring mode
  21. Locate the Video widget that requires the playlist and click on it to expose the Video properties dialog
  22. In the Player Settings section, paste the copied playlist URL and press LOAD
  23. The Video widget will display the first video
  24. Save the changes
  25. Exit the Designer
When users access the page containing the Video widget, the YouTube videos that are part of the playlist will now be streamed.
