Question
Looking at the properties of the Video widget, there is a single URL field. Is there a way to display multiple videos through a single Video widget?
Answer
Displaying multiple videos is possible through the use of a YouTube playlist. Instead of adding the URL for a video, use the URL for the playlist.
- Open YouTube and click on Your Videos to open the channel Studio
- Within the channel Studio, click on the Content section
- If a Playlist already exists, skip to step 14. Click on a video that will be part of a new playlist
- On the Video Details page, select the Playlists dropdown
- Click NEW PLAYLIST
- Add a title for the video and select the desired visibility
- Press Create and verify that the video was automatically added to the playlist
- Press Done
- To add another video to the playlist, click on the video thumbnail
- Using the Playlists dropdown, select the newly created playlist
- Press Done
- Repeat steps 9-11 for all other additional videos that need to be part of the playlist
- Use the back arrow to go back to Channel content

- Select the Playlists tab on the Channel Content page
- Click either on the playlist thumbnail or the pencil (edit) icon

- To obtain the URL for the playlist, click on the share icon

- Press the Copy button
- Launch Digital Hive
- Select the desired Hive
- Open the Designer to enter authoring mode
- Locate the Video widget that requires the playlist and click on it to expose the Video properties dialog
- In the Player Settings section, paste the copied playlist URL and press LOAD
- The Video widget will display the first video
- Save the changes
- Exit the Designer
When users access the page containing the Video widget, the YouTube videos that are part of the playlist will now be streamed.
