Search Management Interface

Getting to the Search Management Interface

1.       Click the user avatar and select Manage Digital Hive

2.       Within the Control Center expand Content then click Search

3.       Here you will find the new search and indexing features to better manage indices within Digital Hive

All Searchable Folders

In this view all mount points that are searchable are displayed.

  1. It is possible to filter the searchable folders by connector. To filter the view, click the drop-down and select the connector that you want to see the available searchable folders. In the following example, the view is filtered for a Network File Share searchable folders:

  2. Hover over the  icon to get the Index summary of that folder with information about the last scan, next scan (this is a derived prediction), index size and average index time.

  3. Verify the indexing schedule for that folder by clicking  and from here the schedule can be modified/updated. In this example, the indexing is scheduled to occur every day at 9:00 AM:

Content Distribution

This tree map displays the number of items indexed that each system contributes to your content store.

Warning: Some Indexes Failed

This will indicate any indexes that failed and gives you the ability to try an immediate retry on that index. In this example, the Planning Analytics and MicroStrategy indexes failed because the underlying system was down. The PowerBI index failure is because the referenced location is no longer available.

Schedule Timing

This section helps to identify overlapping indexing schedules that may impact app responsiveness. For the best user experience try to schedule index rebuilds to happen outside of times of heavy user activity. The view can be filtered by Time frame and/or by Connector. In this example, it is filtered to September 10th and PowerBI:

Scan Performance

This section tracks the items per minute of a scan over time. A degradation over time could indicate performance issues with the connected system. Similar to the other views, it is possible to filter the view by connector type.
