Selecting a Specific Visual from a PowerBI Dashboard

Question

There is one specific PowerBI visualization that is required for a Digital Hive Unified Dashboard. Do we have to add the entire PowerBI dashboard, or is it possible to 'extract' just the stand-alone chart?

Answer

Microsoft PowerBI provides the ability to leverage all of the individual 'tiles' that are part of a larger dashboard. To see a listing, and view/embed a single visualization:
  1. While in the Digital Hive Designer, open the Files view
  2. Browse or Search for the desired PowerBI dashboard
  3. Click the vertical three dots icon  for the corresponding dashboard object
  4. In the options of the sub menu, select Show Contents 
  5. From the list of available tiles, you can drag and drop any number of individual tiles onto the Digital Hive page
  6. Once your work is complete, save the changes in the Designer
If the names of the tiles are all similar, or are missing, the titles can be changed from within PowerBI to make them more intuitive

Note: The ability to extract individual PowerBI visuals is limited to the dashboards. Reports do not offer this level of functionality.
