Changes to the Search Functionality in Digital Hive when using a Flyout Button

Question

How does the Search Functionality in Digital Hive change when using a Flyout Button?

Answer

This is a change in functionality with Digital Hive version 2026.1. It works differently from the other releases.

  1. Create a New Hive within Digital Hive and click Edit Hive to launch it.
  2. Under Elements, followed by Actions, Drag and Drop a Flyout button into the Hive
  3. Click on the Flyout button and select Edit Flyout
  4. Drag and Drop a File Explorer element into it
  5. Save the Hive.
  6. Re launch the Hive and click the Flyout Button. You will see the File Explorer element in there with a Search Everywhere option in it
  7. Click the Search box and enter any search term. You will see the search results populate on the front end. In previous releases, the results were displayed on the back end.
